Antique "Pumpkin Pine"
Pumpkin Pine is Eastern White Pine with a distinctive color and patina that has naturally evolved over time. Try as they may, many finishers unsuccessfully attempt to recreate this mellow warm glow. Wide Antique Pumpkin Pine floors speak Early New England in today’s designs market. The warm glow of the rich patina works well in restoration as well as new construction. A recent project revealed a farmhouse kitchen in a reproduction home completely outfitted with Antique Pumpkin Pine cabinetry and built in step back cupboards. The Adjoining dining room walls were clad with horizontal wide plank wainscot. Breathtaking!

Natural Grade White Pine ranges in color from light/medium brown to a reddish brown. This is an excellent choice for a traditional farmhouse or rustic look and the color will deepen overtime. The rich color created from the patina deepening over time cannot be reproduced through the use of stain no matter how skilled the artist. |
