Our Reclaimed Beam Annex is home to many pieces that are often used as mantles, decorative “faux” design, or shelving. While some of these reclaimed beams are hand hewn, others are sawn, but each has it’s own unique color, texture and design. Along with the look, the origin of each beam is unique and has shaped it to look the way it does. While those taken from reclaimed barns will have a more rustic, used feel; beams restored from old factory or industrial buildings will be able to finish with cleaner lines and a smoother texture. We carry lengths fro, 3 to 30′ and widths that go up to 12″ in thickness. Below are a few from our 450+ inventory of these incredible pieces of history!

Homesteading involves using readily available materials and innovation to piecemeal together a complete picture, which is exactly what these pieces do as they come together to create a complete look. The Reclaimed Homestead Paneling is a bold mix of our reclaimed Brown Barnboard, Weathered Grey Paneling, Reclaimed Roofboard and Faded Red and White Barnboard. This wall covering gives the best that reclaimed has to offer between the texture of the Grey, the character of the roofboards, and the pop of color from the faded barnboards.
Where our Product Originates
Our Reclaimed Paneling comes from Antique barns, homes and other structures that were weathered over time. Just as the material looks it is pulled from various sources throughout these structures such as interior and exterior walls flooring and roof boards. Boards will be a mixed specie and wear at different levels.
* Please note due to the reclamation process and the natural differences in reclaimed wood, our displays and samples are close representations of a finished product. Every product is unique and may contain more or less characteristics than represented. Wood is a natural product and because of this, we recommend ordering samples of our products before making your paneling choice. We will send multiple pieces of each product to give a full representation of the grade and specie. Together, these pieces represent the grade, specie or product specified. Please do not reference an individual sample, piece of the sample or image as an accurate representation of the entire grade, specie or product. Please consult your sales representative with any questions or to request more samples.
The Reclaimed Roofboard Paneling is an innovative product developed from a source most throw away. Roofboards sit underneath your shingles and are exposed to the harshest of environments. They are baked in the sun, soaked in the rain, and tested by years of wind and other weather. As roofs are patched and replaced these boards gain their fair share of nail holes which is why you will see enhanced character, color variation, and even some texture. This is the character that gives this paneling a one in a million look.

From time to time we acquire some unique siding options. One of our most sought after is the Reclaimed Red Pine Barnboard. This barnboard is very unique because it was the remnants of antique red paint that has aged over 100+ years, creating a natural “faded red” look with a smooth texture and rich brown tones. We typically use this for fabricating doors and wall paneling, however the reverse face is a naturally aged “Pumpkin Pine” and can be used as flooring as well. This product comes in on a limited basis, so please inquire to our current availability.
Where our Product Originates
Our Reclaimed Faded Red Barn Siding comes from Antique barns and other structures that were painted and weathered over time. Boards can be a mixed specie and wear at different levels. Many barns were painted the a-typical barn red or white, allowing for the paint color to uniquely saturate the wood, creating different depths and tones.

The many attributes to Reclaimed Long Leaf Pine have stood the test of time and make it one of the most popular reclaimed floors. The warm richness of color and durability of its heart wood is undeniably the most recognizable of these traits. The varying grades can give you an elegant to a rustic country floor. We have pre-finished many Reclaimed Heart Pine plank floors and the warmth of this heart wood always prevails in the rich patina achieved by multiple coats of tung oil.
The Long Leaf Heart Pine trees grew in extremely dense forests. This slow growth forest resulted in many timbers yielding clear lumber, essentially knot free. The Bingham saw mill graders hand select the clear boards off the saw mill to be precisely milled into the select grade heart pine flooring. The select grade consists of mostly clear boards and just an occasional plank with a pin knot. Within the select grade the color variation is minimal creating an overall uniform formal appearance.
Where our Product Comes From
Antique Heart Pine was the fiber of choice throughout the Industrial Revolution in mill buildings and factories. The sheer size of the buildings and the structural timbers is just amazing. These mill buildings and factories are surprisingly uniform and consistent in how they were constructed. The buildings consist of columns, structural timbers and thick decking located on each factory floor and within the roof system. Each of these components provides us with different types of wood fiber creating several grades of flooring.
* Please note due to the reclamation process and the natural differences in reclaimed wood, our displays and samples are close representations of a finished product. Traditionally sourced from barns in the Berkshire region, this antique softwood barn board is a unique paneling option. The natural face of the board is a rough, circle-sawn texture. We then custom texture it to add more character and depth. Doing this creates a contrast between the natural face of the board and the light tones within. Often, we apply a clear coat protestant or add a stain and dry-brush finish to add another textured layering effect. This product has been used in many commercial applications all over the Unites States because is gives an uncommon look and feel with its application.
Where our Product Originates
Taken from antique softwood barn siding, roof boards and paneling, the extra weathering of this product gives it a unique texture. Antique natural face softwood is found in almost every antique structure that we reclaimed. Each piece can yield a different color and texture and is one of our most sought after options in flooring.
* Please note, due to the reclamation process and the natural differences in reclaimed wood, our displays and samples are close representations of a finished product. Also known as “Mushroomwood,” this texture is achieved by sculpting rich brown reclaimed softwoods that are naily and knotty. The texture is rough and rustic, and the color is a uniformed brown. Water-based finish can be added to make cleaning easier, as well as a ebony stain and water based finish to make it dark and dramatic.
Where our Product Originates
Found under barns where animals once roamed, this product is typically only harvested during certain times of the year. Boards are unearthed and tend to have mushrooms growing on them. The degradation from the weight of the animals as well as the mushrooms and soil, allow this wood to form a unique textured appearance.

Reclaimed Weathered Grey wall paneling is truly one-of-a-kind. It is difficult to replicate a process that can only happen by nature. This wall paneling is a mixed specie and selected for color and character. It can vary from a light silver to a darker grey and can contain checking, nail holes and sound knots. The natural weathered color is only on the face of the board. The texture can range from a natural circular sawn to a rough “wire-brushed” look. It can be used for all paneling features including backsplashes, wall cladding, ceiling paneling, cladding of cabinetry or other furniture items.

Reclaimed Oak Flooring and custom cabinetry built from our weathered grey material.
Where our Product Originates
Found on the south-facing side of most barns, the Weathered Grey barn board is the part of the structure that gets the most sunlight. As the wood is subjected to elements such as sun, rain, heat and cold, each one helps the natural aging and greying of the boards.

Reclaimed Brownboard hardwood paneling is one of our most popular wall covering options. Typically harvested and named for the barn board found on the “north facing” side of the structure, this material is sorted and chosen for its rich light brown to dark chocolate patina. Boards then to contain knots, nails holes and many imperfections. Bingham uses a custom technique to sand this product. This leaves a smooth-to-the-touch feeling, with all of the natural characteristics still maintained.
Where our Product Originates
The Bingham Brown Barnboard custom paneling features reclaimed hardwood barn board. Barn board is found throughout a salvaged barn in mainly three areas; siding, loft boards, and interior partitions. Barn board that was exposed to the natural heat and the elements has aged overtime creating not only unique coloring, but one-of-a-kind textures. The hardwood barn board is found from the mid-Atlantic states right up through the Ohio River Valley. Bingham values the long time relationships with other small family run businesses to source and reclaim the finest materials our salvaged barns have to offer.

Used in many traditional homes for millwork features and custom panels, our wide plank Cherry flooring will contain deep copper tones and minimal sap content. As cherry ages, it will naturally deepen in color to a rich auburn. If you are looking for a traditional flooring choice that will age with grace, wide plank Cherry flooring is an elegant and polished choice.
Where our Product Originates
The black cherry tree is common to many parts of North America as well as South America. They can live for hundreds of years and are known by a few different names. Some of those names are Black Cherry, Mountain Black Cherry and Rum Cherry. Cherry trees, however are difficult to cultivate and are highly susceptible to rot and pest damage.

Classic Wide Plank Maple flooring is known for its tight solid grain, natural creamy white appearance and unfaltering beauty. A perfect choice to a residential or commercial application, its hardness and durability allow for a variety of uses. We traditionally see maple being used for bowling alley floors because of its beauty and durability, as well as in many antique homes in New England. The application of an oil-based finish will allow the inherent golden variations to shine through. Adding a stain will also bring depth and tone to a normally achromatic color palette.
Where our Product Originates
Hard Maple is generally found in the Northeastern part of the United States and is the densest species of maple. It is also known as Rock Maple or Sugar Maple. Hard Maple has a high susceptibility to insect infestation and has been known to cause some allergies. Additionally, hard maple will grow twice as slow as a soft maple, making it a denser and more durable flooring choice.

Wide Plank Black Walnut Flooring is a unique and refined hardwood specie. We offer two grades in this unrivaled flooring option. Our select grade will feature rich chocolate heartwood, varying degrees of blonde sapwood, minor feathering and small pinhole knots. Our Sawyer’s Cut grade contains much of the same coloration as the select, yet allowing for a more rustic appearance containing sound knots and bark inclusions. A softer yet durable hardwood, Black Walnut has been used in all facets of woodworking. We recommend pairing our Black Walnut flooring with an oil-based finish to bring out the depth and richness that naturally occurs within this flooring specie.
Wide Plank Walnut contains a naturally darker color mixed with lighter blondes and tans.
Traditionally Walnut is used for furniture pieces because of it’s naturally rich color.
Where our Product Originates
Black Walnut trees can be found in much of North America. Much of the walnut is harvested from trees in California. The roots of a walnut tree can grow up to 50′ from the base and emits an herbicide poisonous to many other plants and trees. It is also planted on hills and countrysides to help prevent erosion and is extremely resistant to pests and decay.

With its lively swirling grains and varying sap and heart content, Classic Ash flooring is a timeless choice. Due to its density and beauty, it has been used for many years in the creation of baseball bats, as well as millwork and furniture. The wide grain and porosity of this wood allows it to take a dark or light stain beautifully. There is quite a distinction between the white sap wood and the rich brown heart wood. Ash has a hardness that rivals White Oak, making this a very dense and durable flooring choice.
Where our Product Comes From
Ash is found throughout the eastern part of the United States. Often found in areas of moist soils, ash trees are typically mixed in throughout other hardwood trees. Some of the finest ash trees are found on slopes in low lying valleys.

Where our Product Originates
Long Leaf Heart Pine is found in Southern U.S. where its climate is ideal for the growth and cultivation of heart pine timber. A Long Leaf Heart Pine tree can grow upwards of 120 feet and its resinous aspects make it one of the most popular trees involved in turpentine production.

Wide Plank Eastern White Pine Flooring has been a staple in the Bingham family for over 69 years. Harvested from Northeastern White Pine timber, our white pine flooring is produced in a few choice grades. Our select grade white pine will feature small pin-hole knots, varying grain patterns and a crisp white appearance. Our more traditional Sawyer’s Cut grade will contain varying degrees of sound, tight and red knot structure, varying grain patterns and a creamy white appearance. Hickory is a domestic hardwood found in the eastern part of the United States. Hickory is rarely found in pure stands, commonly found scattered throughout hardwood woodlands in low lying areas where moist soil is found. Although found in the Northeast, most of the quality timber the Bingham team sources is from the mid-Atlantic states.

As one of the most popular hardwood flooring choices suitable for any style home, Red Oak is used as a standard for rating other hardwoods. Traditionally, produced as a select strip flooring product, Bingham has chosen to produce this product is a variation of wide widths and grades. We offer a select grade, free of knots, containing varying grain structure and a natural blush hue with flecks of brown. Our Sawyer’s Cut grade features all of the select characteristics, but allows for a more rustic appearance of knots and other minor defects. We also produce a select rift and quarter-sawn for a more stable flooring choice and most popularly used over radiant heat. Due to the broad graining and porosity, this specie can be easily textured and stained to achieve a custom handcrafted floor.
Where our Product Originates
Red oak trees are found in the U.S. in the Northeastern and North-central areas of the country. However, they have been known to reach as far south as Georgia and as north as Canada. Oak wilt has become an epidemic in many parts of the country, attacking the water conducting vessels and essentially killing the trees and surrounding red oak species. Although, red oak is still one of the most common flooring species manufactured today.

Bingham’s reclaimed Hickory flooring is the hardest North American reclaimed hardwood species that we have to offer. With its natural density and its hundreds of years of strength and resilience from maintaining antique structures, this species can hold up in the toughest conditions. With varying color tones from golden blonde to a richer chocolate brown, it still maintains many of the striking characteristics of its newly sawn counterpart. However, due to the aging process and years of past use, there is weather checking, minimal nail holes and insect markings present. The coarse texture and rich tones enhance its natural beauty. Adding an oil finish lets the true colors come alive.
Where our Product Comes From
Reclaimed Hickory is generally sawn from antique beams and sleepers that hold up the structure. A sleeper beam is hewn flat on the top and tends to be round on the sides, sometimes still containing the bark from when the tree was originally cut down. Sleep beams are the main support structure of a barn and can be a range of oak, hickory, walnut and other hardwood species. Due to limited availability this product can be hard to come by. Lead times will be longer than usual and will be dependent upon supply of rough stock.

Sawn from antique sleeper beams found in antique dwellings from the mid-Atlantic states, these massive timbers were hewn on top and bottom and left naturally round on the edges. Although 3% of the population survived and the regenerating and reforestation has begun in Appalachia, it will be decades before trees reach maturity. Therefore, this unique antique wood is only available from the reclamation of barns and rural dwellings.

Pumpkin pine is Eastern White Pine with a distinctive color and patina that has naturally evolved over time. Try as they may, many finishers unsuccessfully attempt to recreate the mellow warm glow that comes naturally to true Pumpkin Pine. Reclaimed wide plank Pumpkin Pine floors speak to early New England in today’s design market. The warm glow of the rich patina works well in restoration, as well as new construction.
Where our Product Originates
For Eastern White Pine to evolve into a true Pumpkin Pine the boarding needs to be exposed to the correct conditions. Often found in attics, these boards were placed across rafters in antique buildings and never found the direct sunlight but were exposed to the heat and other elements helping the transformation. Remodeling or gutting an old brownstone can often uncover these prized boards as well. Occasionally, the interior partition boarding in New England barns can produce some of these aged boards as well.
